The portions and price are reasonable considering it being located in a touristy area. But seriously the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. The batter is so tasty and crispy and the fish is fresh. I was a bit weary after reading tthe reviews including the 1 star ones and I don't know what they are talking about. The fish pieces are about as long as an Aero chocolate and as thick as two of the stacked on top of each other. The tartar sauce was really good as well. We ordered the halibut and fries and added an extra piece of fish and then went back for 2 more pieces of fish with the tartar sauce. One of my kids who doesn't even like fish gobbled it up within seconds. The staff are so friendly, patient and kind and make you feel welcome. Definitely recommend as a place to eat in Tofino.
Absolutely amazing fish and one of the best fries that I've ever had in my life. Coleslaw with apple was so refreshing. Definitely recommending.
We had read reviews on here and seen YouTube videos and decided to give this wonderful place a go. What a hit! From the moment we were met by a wonderful lady who took our order to when our BC halibut fish and chips arrived, the whole experience was nothing but perfect. The food then. Oh my goodness who knew that halibut could be encrusted in delicious panko and fried to perfection this way. Served with great fries and a delicious apple coleslaw. We paid 28 Canadian each and this was great value for money. The food here is bang on perfect. Oh and check out the brilliant way they serve vinegar, in a spray bottle. Such a brilliant idea.
Got there 10 minutes before closing but Dave didn't mind at all. Lingcod and squid were both fantastic. The piece of fish looked a little small but was dense which made up for it. Would definitely try the halibut on a return trip. Restaurant is a take out window but does have outdoor seating which was nice.
Perfection! We got the halibut fish and chips with an extra piece and split it between two people. Plenty of food for us at a decent price. Perfectly crispy on the outside. Loved the fresh, handmade coleslaw with julienned green apple on the side.
It started with a warm welcome. The plates and sides were very well served and delicious. There was a beach atmosphere. Excellent customer service. I recommend this place 10/10.
Ended up going here with my sister because it was dog friendly. Food was delicious !!! When I originally called to inquire if they were dog friendly, the man on the phone was so nice I of course had to go! I showed up & he included my dog as a member ( table for 4 vs. 2) in addition to the good food they have spray bottles for vinegar which I personally haven’t seen before but it is a huge GAME CHANGER! 100% will be stopping here again!
Love, love, LOVE this quaint little rustic place! The food was awesome. Beat halibut and chips we’ve had in a while. Really good seafood chowder and the accompanying bread was a delightful surprise. It’s an outdoor patio so dress for the weather. Recommend!!
